DR. LACEY "AMINA" WIGNESS, Registered Acupuncturist Certified Hijama Practitioner

   Lacey is a Doctor of Acupuncture, registered with the College and Association of Acupuncturists in Alberta (CAAA). She graduated from Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) in Calgary, AB in 2004. Lacey utilizes her study of Traditional Chinese Medicine in a whole body diagnosis to develop a treatment plan for each individual she works on. She uses the following treatment modalities; meridian style acupuncture, electro acupuncture, ear acupuncture, moxibustion, dietary and herbal/ vitamin recommendations, as well as cupping. Lacey also specializes in "hijama" or Islamic wet cupping.  Lacey resides in Edmonton with her husband, Abderrahim, and their three young children.     

YANYU "ANDREA" WANG, Massage Therapist

   Andrea is a certified Registered Massage Therapist. She is graduated from Makami College with 3000 hours Advanced Massage Therapy diploma program. She is experienced on Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Therapeutic, Hot Stone, Prenatal Massages. Her special skills include Cupping, Facial and Foot Massage, Trigger Point release, Soft Tissue release, PNF stretches.

ANGELA CHARUK, Registered Massage Therapist

  Angela graduated from MaKami College with 3000 hours of clinical training. She has been practicing for 3 years. She loves massage and is constantly expanding her knowledge. She is trained in many modalities with Therapeutic and Trigger Point therapy while adding in relaxation as her main focus.

In 3 years she has found a deep desire to explore wellness modalities. She is a certified Reflexologist and currently has her level 1 Reiki certificate while working on achieving her masters.

Angela is a big believer in looking at the body in a holistic way, knowing that our mind, body and spirit must be aligned to ensure true relaxation. She has seen how emotions and stress truly effect a person’s well-being both mentally and physically.

Her healing sessions have ranged from Children to adults. Anyone can benefit from these treatments and she looks forward to connecting with clients who can benefit from what she does.

VALERIE MAINE, Esthetician

 Valerie graduated from the Alberta Academy of Aesthetics in the fall of 2000. Her career as an esthetician began in Spruce Grove and she has been expanding her experiences since, through continued education in advanced esthetics, skincare, relaxing massage techniques, reiki and more. Taking a natural approach to skincare, Valerie considers internal, external and environmental influences when providing facial skincare services.

DR. SIMRAN MATHAROO BHMS, RCSHom. Homepathic Practitioner

 Simran is a professionally trained homeopathic doctor, registered with the Canadian Society of Homeopaths which is a national organization. Her background includes the Bachelor’s in Homeopathic medicine from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, India which is a member of association of Indian Universities New Delhi, SAARC Universities and Commonwealth Universities, London, also included in world Health Directory of medical schools. She has been helping people from last 6 years.

She has a deep knowledge and understanding of homeopathic principles which she utilizes to treat a wide variety of acute and chronic diseases, from simple cough and cold to ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids .Her focus is on the physical, mental and social well-being of a person. She considers totality of symptoms and plans a homeopathic treatment according to patient’s individual needs. She has an active lifestyle and lives in Edmonton with her husband and a daughter. She comes from a family of homeopathic doctors with father and forefathers being devoted to the field of homeopathy, running a homeopathic clinic in India since 1967.

PARTHKUMAR PATEL, Physiotherapist

 Parth has an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy and a Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He is registered with the College and Association of Physiotherapist in Alberta. He has been helping people to resolve physical problems since last 10 years. He had been an academician for more than 7 years. He considers comprehensive assessment and plans a tailored Physiotherapy treatment according to client's needs. He has practiced for a long time and has a keen interest in treating the musculoskeletal issues.   


RENJU MARY JACOB, Physiotherapist

   Renju graduated in Bachelor degree of physical therapy from Mahatma Gandhi University India in 2002 and also did the Bridging program from University of Alberta, Edmonton in 2016.She has gained relevant clinical experiences in Orthopedic, Neurology, Cardiovascular, Woman’s health and Pediatrics during her clinical placements. She worked for 5 years as a Physiotherapist in Neuro-musculoskeletal and Sports Clinic. While she worked as a physiotherapist, she engaged in assessment of patients through outcome measures, established treatment plans and goals based on Evidence Based Practice .She acquired Provisional License and is registered with the College and Association of Physiotherapist in Alberta.

Renju is competent for her accountability, responsibility, integrity and is committed and compassionate towards client centered care .Her passion is to develop her career goals and connect people with the betterment of their life. Her strength is her caring attitude with in depth of subject knowledge and clinical experiences.

DIANA HINCAPIE, Registered Dietitian

 "I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Colombia and, completed the Integrated Dietetic Internship Program at the University of Alberta.  I have experience in clinical nutrition helping people to better manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, weight management and other nutrition- related concerns.  I work in partnership with clients to help them make easy and evidence – based changes to support them in achieving healthier lifestyles. In my practice, I like to identify personal preferences, realistic and achievable goals keeping in mind that each person has different nutrition needs. I look forward to working with you to help you reach your nutrition goals." 

MARY CONRAD, Registered Massage Therapist

 Mary graduated from the massage therapy program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy with honours and is in good standing with the MTAA. She has a passion for treating clients of all ages. As a firm believer in the importance of listening to her client and working together to create a treatment catered to their needs, she will spend time tailoring each massage therapy session in order to bring relief from any injury, or to simply melt away the stresses of everyday life.

 

Mary enjoys treating clients using Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sport Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Prenatal and Pregnancy Massage and Myofascial Release. She believes in the lifelong learning concept and is planning to expand her knowledge by learning new modalities such as reflexology and myofascial cupping.

 

She is comfortable treating many conditions such as chronic neck and back pain, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, strains, sprains, poor posture, patellofemoral syndrome, tendonitis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, frozen shoulder, tension headaches, and arthritis.

 

She enjoys talking and working with clients to build a regime of massage therapy and educating with home care that suits the clients needs and allows them to reach their wellness goals.  



DR. BALWINDER BADHAN, Naturopathic Doctor, Osteopath

Dr. Balwinder Badhan is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Osteopathy, holds a Diploma in Manual Osteopathy from Canada along with Medical degree from India. LEANDRA LANE YELLOWBIRD, Massage Therapist

 Leandra is a graduate from Grant MacEwan’s 2200 hour Massage Therapy Program. She has an immense interest in understanding the human body, and understands that each persons situation is unique and specific to them. Leandra is passionate in helping others lead a healthier lifestyle, while providing pain and stress relief through a variety of massage modalities and techniques.

Leandra is trained in Swedish massage and provides therapeutic, relaxation, joint mobilization, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, PNF, and infant massage. Leandra is specifically experienced in prenatal and deep tissue massage.

When she isn’t massaging, she enjoys raising her two children, and working towards living a healthy lifestyle.
